I joined Riptide because of a plea from a friend. At first I was adversed to the idea, but I was convinced. I had my counselor change my schedule, and that was that! I now really enjoy the class, and spend most of my free time worrying about it.
Outside of school, I spend most of my time flying 210mm carbon fiber “drones.” I build them and am trying to reach competition level flying. I’m working on a Private Pilot’s licence, and hope to become an astronautical engineer one day. Other than that, I do track when in season. I throw the javelin, and last year I was the best freshman throwing for Vashon… Admittedly I was the only freshman but that is besides the point. When track is not in season I practice Tae Kwon Do and Bushido, and hold a third degree black belt under Master Steve Coates.
